Words cannot express how grateful we are that we found you and you matched us with Dixie. We are certainly glad she did not go to Germany and we KNOW she is. We thought we would never find a Lab as smart and great as the Chocolate one we have.....and then there was Dixie. She is a very smart dog. I attached a picture of her lying next to her food bowl with the food in it. She was not happy during this picture, but she knows she is not allowed to eat her dinner until she is told "ok". She loves to get the morning paper too. We got her to be my son's boat captain since my husband has become disabled and not able to go on the boat as much. Well it is safe to say, she LOVES it. She really likes retrieving in the water. Of course, she loves playing catch on land too..so much so that if she wants to play and cannot find someone to play with she throws the ball herself. She is a very well behaved dog and learns things so quickly. I have never seen any other silver/charcoal labs that are of the quality of your dogs. They are by far the most beautiful!!! Dixie's coat is like a prism..it can look so many shades between black and silver. Sometimes there is so much variance people often think at first it is not the same dog! Her coat and eyes make her a stand out around Tallahassee since they aren't any other like her in this area.
Probably our most favorite things about Dixie is her personality. She is the BIGGEST baby. She loves to be loved on. If you are sitting down and not paying attention to her she paws your hand until you love on her. She loves when my husband takes a nap after his dialysis...she is waiting on him when we come home.. she loves to spoon. She loves to clean house as well. When I am picking things up off the floor she comes right between my legs and has to inspect everything I am doing. Dixie and the vacuum do not get along. She chases and bites it. Once she bit me on the behind by mistake! She is also a very good protector. When someone is in our house, she is on guard, at my side, until she is sure everything is okay!
I could go on and on about Dixie, but I will just again say THANK YOU! You make these dogs special by the care and concern you put into breeding them, caring for them and placing them in homes. You have made our family very happy and we know Dixie is happy and very loved.

After many months and after talking to numerous breeders we decided on purchasing a charcoal puppy from Heather in the fall of 2008 from Bella and Ruger’s litter...our decision was largely based on Heathers down to earth nature and professionalism as well as her obvious and sincere love for her dogs and puppies. And the best decision we ever made!We named him Ruger after his daddy, although he looks like a spitting image of his momma! The best of both worlds! He was a natural when he started hunting pheasants last year and is definitely his daddy’s boy in a house of 4 girls (dogs)...VERY attentive, VERY obedient...and still has that laid back aire about him that he has had since he was a puppy (Heather could never get a picture of him standing up, we didn't know he had legs till we picked him up from the airport!)...that's the southern boy in him!We are constantly complimented on him, he's beautiful, blocky and good mannered (southern gentleman again!) and an asset to our breeding program. Thank you to Heather for being there for us over the last couple of years, and starting it all with giving us the opportunity to share our life with our Ruger!

We bought our silver female. LUNA, from Heather. We had just recently paid top $ for 2 chocolate labs from a extremely reputable breeder in California. All of our dogs are wonderful, but Luna stands in a category all her own. She is the fastest swimmer, the birdiest of the 3, and just seems to always be on top of her game.
We love her so much and commend Heather for her breeding skills. Three young labradors keep us fufilled, but if we thought we could bring another one in to our pack, it would certainly be a charcoal male! Who knows what the future holds?

I am so glad you have added a testimonial page to your website so that others can learn of the joy you have added to families with your puppies. When I learned Mike had decided to surprise me by adding another puppy to my original choice I was so apprehensive. Mike left it up to you to pick out a puppy from Smokey and Ruger and so arrived not just a silver from Baby and Ruger but a charcoal as well, all a huge surprise to me! Hence the real reason Mike decided on not one but two, the names Smith and Wesson. The latest picture is about seven months and both are over seventy five pounds.
These two have taken over my life and I have never experienced such joy from dogs before even though I have had labs all my life. I think it all boils down to being retired and have all day to spend with them. Even Mike who is not really a huge animal person has become totally devoted to them and loves having them greet him every day after work by not budging from his place on the couch.
They are so intelligent and so very different from each other. Smithan (the charcoal) is a people dog, a lap dog and a huge retriever at all times of the day and night. Wesson is more independent and can track a covey of quail for miles. It also does not need to be mentioned that they are incredibly beautiful dogs. Both are fiercely loyal to each other but still are hugely attached to Mike and I. I could go on and on about them but I don’t want to sound like some mom bragging about her kids.
I do want to thank you for making it so easy to feel good about purchasing a puppy from you, as you know I had had some trouble with other breeders. You made me feel immediately comfortable and answered all my questions with great patience. It was so nice to be kept up to date all along the way, even when I was out of the country for several weeks. Lastly, you are great at keeping secrets since I didn’t know about Smithan until I saw him sitting in the crate next to Wesson. What a kick! I hope you will be breeding these wonderful dogs for years to come so that I will never have to look further when adding to my menagerie.

Well Heather, It's been a little over a year and the friendship I have grown with you is so special to me. You are an AMAZING breeder. I can't thank you enough for yet again another gorgeous puppy. Polished Benelli is what we named him after his daddy, Ruger, although you knew that before we even got him as you are the best with e-mail correspondence.
He is sooo smart and his charm for everyone who meets him is contagious and outragious! EVERYONE loves him. He is so amazing at even complex skills at such a young age. I appreciate all the love and care that you always put into your puppies. His conformation is again outstanding and we just love him to pieces!
at 5 months old he weighs in at 55 #'s whcih is awesome! He is going to be beautiful like his parents Juno & Ruger who were an excellent couple to mate together. We couldn't be happier.

What a great way to keep in contact with what’s going on with you and your dogs. It will be 2 years next week that Haley (Haley’s Sterling Comet of Tahoe) was born. I know at the time you were going to keep her, but you allowed us to take her. The minute you e-mailed her picture to us with those big blue eyes, was all it took. She is a great dog. She looks just like her mom Jorja except she is a little lighter silver. She is a great member of our family and has been a great playmate to Lacey, our chocolate. We are a firm believer in raising 2 dogs together.
We were so impressed with all the information you were so willing to share with us regarding her line. She flew all the way to Lake Tahoe and was just the most beautiful puppy we had ever seen, just as you said she was. I intend on keeping tabs of your website to stay on top of all that is going on and all your new litters. We are always shopping . Naomi
